Salmon waffles.

zalmwafeltjes

Looking for an easy, quick (and delicious) appetizer? Well, I got the perfect recipe for you! On top of all that, it's original too (or at least, I thought it was original); salmon waffles. Yup, waffles stuffed with salmon... You can do that! I didn't opt for the traditional waffle dough but used puff pastry instead. That's what makes this recipe so quick and easy. How to make all this deliciousness? Find out below;

Ingredients (for about 8-9 waffles)

  • 1 package of store-bought puff pastry
  • 100g smoked salmon
  • 1 package of cream cheese (I used garlic and herbs)
  • rocket salad

Preparation

  1. Take the puff pastry out of the package and with a round cookie cutter (or any other shape) make little circles out of the pastry. Mine were about 6-7cm, I think. Make sure you end up with an even number of circles.
  2. Take one circle and put a bit of rocket salad on it.
  3. Next, put some salmon on top.
  4. And top of with a small teaspoon of the cream cheese.
  5. Put another circle on top and press down, creating a small package
  6. Do the same with all the other circles and put in a waffle iron until the puff pastry is crispy on the outside.

  1. Klinkt lekker :D !
