Shrimp Pasta.

Well, after the tights, I thought I could stick to the Valentine's day theme. How does a shrimp pasta fit in a Valentine's Day themed post, you ask? Well, that's actually very simple. It's my Valentine's favorite dish (or at least his favorite dish that I can cook). The Boyfriend is absolutely crazy about this pasta and the best thing is, it's sooooo easy to make. The only hard thing about it is that you have to peel all the shrimp and remove their intestines. The rest is very very simple and quick!

Ingredients (4 persons)

  • 24 shrimp (I count about 6 shrimp per person)
  • 400 g pasta
  • 25 cl cream
  • 25 cl tomato past
  • 1 glass of water
  • herbs (I always use Provencal herbs (is that translated correctly??) but you can also use parsley, chives or anything you like with tomatoes)
  • garlic oil
  • pepper and salt

Preparation

  1. Peel the shrimp and remove their intestines.
  2. Start cooking the pasta.
  3. Heat the garlic oil in a frying or saucepan, season the shrimp and bake the shrimp for about 1,5 to 2 minutes. If they're not done yet, that's okay. They'll cook further when they are added to the sauce. Remove the shrimp.
  4. Pour the water in the pan - that way the shrimp flavour is added to your sauce - and let it cook for a little bit. Then add the tomato paste and the cream. Add the herbs.
  5. When your pasta is done cooking, pour it in the sauce and finally add the shrimp. And you're done. Bon appétit!
